AN arrest warrant has been issued for a Wigan 22-year-old who failed to attend a sentencing hearing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.
Zacharey Frank McKnight of Moor Road, Orrell, pleaded guilty to fraud by false misrepresentation last month.
He was due to return to court to learn his fate after a previous hearing was adjourned to allow the prosecution to determine whether the victim was requesting a restraining order.
McKnight racked up a bill for thousands of pounds on his grandmother’s credit card, the court had previously heard.
The guilty plea was based on McKnight accepting responsibility for between £2,500 and £3,500 of the credit card bills.
Grandmother Mrs Marjorie McKnight had estimated more than £4,000 was charged to the card between November 2013 and February 2014. The warrant was issued at just after 11am on Monday.
