Here's your chance to play a ghost

Bygone Times, an antiques centre in Eccleston near Chorley, will be transformed and used by a production company called AtmosFear, who plan to stage a frightening show with special effects, theatrical sound and lighting.

The company behind the show called Ghost Encounter Live, is looking for a cast of 13 energetic performers to play the roles of Bygone Times' ghosts drawn from both fact and fiction.

Bygone Times rents manager Arthur Howell says there are so many spirits in the historic building.

Scripted and non-scripted roles are available and the 13 people will be selected from open auditions held on Saturday and Sunday September 1 and 2 from 10am - 6pm.

Auditionees can book a 10-minute slot in advance by emailing direct audition@atmosfearuk.com giving contact email and landline phone number – NOT mobiles, they will not be accepted.

Auditionees need to dress up as scarily as possible.

Producer Jason Karl said: "Bygone Times is perfect for our Halloween Spooktacular.

"It will easily be transformed into a disturbing world of ghosts and ghouls who are dying to meet the visitors.

"Inspired by true historical events, it is the tragic tale of a powerful Victorian family and a 17th century curse.

"Over the coming months we will be filling it with special effects, scary performers and surprises for those daring enough to enter."
