A Wigan schoolgirl is being tipped for stardom after landing a recording deal at the age of 13.
Chloe Pownall says that one day she would like to duet with Peter Andre after landing a signed copy of his new album at a charity auction.
And judging by the Hindley youngster's credentials, this may come true.
Chloe will travel to a recording studio at Egremont, Cumbria, in the new year to record a single written by Tom Tyson, the man who co-wrote the Cher hit Believe.
It was made possible by her well-connected vocal coach Jean Gillies, who has done a lot of work on the BBC's One and Only Show and with comic Graham Norton.
Mum Sue said: "Chloe entered a singing competition at the Buck's Head in Hindley called the Buck's Factor.
"It was only open to over-16s but she lied about her age – and won! We confessed afterwards and they were very good and let the result stand.
"Chloe has a lovely and mature voice. She sings ballads and sounds older than she is. She is excited about making this recording."
Chloe, who attends Westhoughton High School, is now the proud owner of Peter Andre's Unconditional album after successfully bidding for it at the annual quiz raising money for the Carly Fairhurst appeal which supports Wigan Victim Support counsellors.
Sue said: "Chloe is made up with the CD and she says it is one of her ambitions to sing with Peter Andre one day."
