A WIGAN man has appeared in court accused of using his own vehicle to deliberately crash into his ex partner’s car.
Richard Hankey also stands accused of failing to report the May 14 crash – which caused approximately £2,500 worth of damage to Helen Watkinson’s Peugeot 206 – and making a threatening phone call to her.
Hankey, 31, of Norfolk Street, Newtown, formally denied all three charges before Wigan Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
He was remanded in custody prior to a video-link hearing on May 28.
A trial date has been fixed for June 20.
