A WOMAN arrested for murder has been released without charge after detectives concluded there was nothing suspicious about a Wigan man’s death after all.
Officers and paramedics had been called to a flat at Thursby House in Norley in the early hours of Friday morning after receiving reports of a disturbance.
They found a 40-year-old man collapsed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of killing him.
But following a post-mortem examination last night detectives were satisfied that the cause of death was no longer suspicious and she was released.
The matter will now be handed over to the coroner.
