A WIGAN student who went missing in Nottingham has been found in Manchester.
Tom Nixon’s father Simon revealed the news in the early hours and told the Evening Post that he was “so grateful” to everyone who helped with the search.
The Orrell 20-year-old was last seen at about 1am last Thursday in the Lenton area of Nottingham where he attends university.
He has just finished the second year of his law degree but opted to stay in the city over the summer.
After a quiet night in with his housemate, he went to bed but had disappeared the next morning.
Police were informed and a massive social media campaign, using the hashtag #FindTom, was also launched with celebrities such as Philip Schofield tweeting their support to raise awareness.
Thankfully, Mr Nixon, who attended St Peter’s High School and Winstanley College, was located safe and well last night in Manchester. The exact circumstances to his disappearance are unknown and his family have asked for quiet time together.
