POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man after a woman and child were followed around a supermarket.
Shortly before 8pm on Friday, January 17, it is believed a woman and teenage girl were followed around Asda on Priestners Way, Leigh, and into the nearby McDonald’s.
As part of the investigation police are keen to trace a man who is described as white, in his 50s, with a short white beard and was seen walking with the aid of a metal walking stick. He was also wearing a dark coloured jacket, denim jeans and a trilby.
Detective Constable Alison Wallwork, said: “We have scrutinised CCTV from both Asda and McDonald’s and believe a woman and teenage girl were followed around both locations.
“They appear to be oblivious to this and as part of our subsequent investigation we are now trying to identify the man.”
