TWO Wigan teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of shining a laser pen at a police helicopter.
The pair were arrested following an incident in the early hours of December 21.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the arrests were made in relation to acts of “endangering the safety of an aircraft”.
The 14 and 17-year-old, from Ashton, have been bailed pending further investigation until February 19.
The law deals very sternly with such illegal practices.
That a cheap pen light can cause a catastrophic air accident is already well documented.
