THE family of tragic Wigan woman Megan Hoskins has paid an emotional tribute to her.

Describing her as “loved by all her friends” they also spoke of how she one day wished to become a social worker.

The 20-year-old (pictured below) died in the early hours of Sunday morning after being hit by two taxis on Ormskirk Road.

Megan’s family, said: “Megan Louise Hoskins was a fun loving 20-year-old girl who lived life to the full.

“She was much loved by all her friends and family and was always the life and soul of any room that she was in.

“Her main hobbies were spending time with friends and family, especially her younger sister Molly.

“Megan was a highly ambitious and caring person who would do anything for anyone.

“She had plans of becoming a social worker and travelling the world with her friends.

“Megan had a hard life growing up but was always smiling. Her accomplishments and her caring nature made her dad, Michael Hoskins, extremely proud of her. Megan will be extremely missed by everyone that knew her and we hope that she finds peace with her mum in heaven.”

Emergency services were called to Ormskirk Road at about 12.45am on Sunday to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and two taxis.

Officers attended and found Megan trapped underneath a black Skoda Octavia.

She was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital but sadly died a few hours later.

A 20-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter has been bailed pending further enquiries.
