A YOUNG Wigan thug who pushed another man onto a railway track during a drunken row while on bail for robbery has been jailed.
Joshua Lowe was later identified by the robbery victim from a Facebook photograph and he and his accomplices had also bragged to a female friend – who was a friend of the victim’s sister.
Liverpool Crown Court heard that at 6.35am on April 20 Lowe was at Wigan Wallgate station involved in a drunken argument with Luke Purdy, who was also drunk.
Another man held Lowe back but after he left the scene Lowe pushed Mr Purdy with both hands to the chest. He fell backwards onto his back on the platform edge and then continued to roll over the edge onto the tracks.
A witness went to help him and was abused by Mr Purdy who then got on a train. Meanwhile Lowe had run off along the track but was found by police in nearby woodland.
The hearing was told that the 19-year-old was already on bail for a violent robbery involving the theft of his victim’s mobile.
