NINE youngsters have been arrested by police investigating a disturbance at Wigan town centre’s McDonald’s, film of which went viral on the internet.
The disturbance took place on the evening of April 10 when police, called to the Standishgate outlet, found up to 100 young people inside and out.
There had been complaints of female staff being verbally abused and several young people getting into the kitchen area to steal food. Amid loud and intimidating chanting, others threw rubbish and food across the restaurant.
Five people aged between 14 and 17 have received a reprimand, three aged between 16 and 17 have been bailed until Thursday, May 3, and a 17-year-old boy was given a fixed penalty notice.
