A MOTORCYCLIST sustained neck and back injuries after smashing into a bus in Wigan.
The man, in his 30s, was travelling along Hall Lane, near Wrightington Hospital, at 4.30pm on Sunday when he collided with a bus.
He was fully conscious as he was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with neck and back injuries, plus bone fractures to his hand. His condition was described as stable.
There were no reports of any other injuries to the bus driver or passengers.
Lancashire Police closed Hall Lane for a couple of hours whilst they removed both vehicles.
