AN event organised for the public to pose questions to Wigan’s MP hopefuls has been called due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The Pemberton Churches Together group was hosting a hustings on Thursday evening at St John’s Church on Church Street.
A spokesman for the group said: “It is disappointing the event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, it would have been a chance for all parties to inform the public on their views for the election.”
Seven representatives are fighting for the Wigan seat including incumbent MP Lisa Nandy for the Labour Party.
Fellow candidates are Mark Bradley (UKIP), Richard Clayton (Lib Dem), Gareth Fairhurst (Wigan Independents), Caroline Kerswell (Conservative), Brian Parr (Independent) and Will Patterson (Green Party).
