A MURDER inquiry has been launched after a man was stabbed to death.
Emergency services were called to a house in Rutland Road, Tyldesley, in the early hours of yesterday morning, after receiving reports of a knifing.
Arriving shortly after 3am, they discovered a 23-year-old with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital, but died later.

“I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard two men arguing outside a house on Devon Road or Rutland Road, Tyldesley, to contact police. The information you have may be able to help us determine what exactly happened.
“There is an increased police presence. and if any members of the community are concerned, I would ask them to speak to an officer, and they will be able to address any worries that they may have.”
