New baby up for sale

An advert on an internet sales site offering a newborn baby for sale because the family dog did not like it attracted several offers before it was exposed as a hoax.

The ad was placed under the pets section on America's Craigslist and offered the child complete "with her crib, toys, bottles, diaper bag, and any formula we have left".

Police in North Carolina are investigating, but say no-one has been charged.
