A PROFESSIONAL dancer who is touring with Abba Forever has set up a dance school in Wigan.

Lauren Exley, 24, who is currently touring with tribute band Abba Forever, opened Exley’s Dance Academy in Ormskirk Road, Newtown, earlier this month.

The school offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz and street, as well as singing lessons and Lauren is currently on the recruitment trail.

Lauren, who hails from Scarborough but now lives in Abram, said: “I perform myself, so I know what it is like to be in the business.

“As I am currently on a theatre tour Friday to Sunday, I wanted to set up a base and so chose Wigan.

“I have been dancing since I was three and I went to Tiffany Theatre College stage school.

“I just love singing and dancing and I am also choreographing for a new tour, and I love passing on my knowledge.”

Classes, at £3 each, run from 4.15pm until 8pm Monday to Thursday and are aimed at children, from aged three, through to adults.
