THE man who was injured after he was “accidently” shoved by a drunk man is not pressing charges.

As a video went viral showing the Skelmersdale 63-year-old falling to the floor after an intoxicated race-goer bumped into him at Aintree on Thursday, the 34-year-old culprit from Formby voluntarily went to the police station to admit his wrong-doing. But he was later released without charge.

He then went on Facebook to clear his name, saying: “This is a total accidental collision. I should have realised sooner it was a serious fall, but I’m drunk as well.

“When the camera goes off I check the fella is okay.”

The victim suffered facial injuries but is recovering well.
