AROUND 20 Wigan Athletic fans cycled to their side’s game with Blackpool on Saturday to raise funds for Joseph’s Goal.

They left the club’s Christopher Park training ground on Friday morning, waved off by the first team squad, to take on the gruelling 42-mile journey.

Local cycling group Team Pie led the fund-raisers.

Joseph’s Goal was set up by our Wigan Athletic reporter Paul Kendrick and wife Emma, who both took part in the cycle alongside friends and family, to raise funds for research into the incurable metabolic disorder Non- ketotic Hyperglycinemia.
