BUDGETARY restrictions have meant that the acclaimed Wigan International Jazz Festival has been briefer than of yore these last few recession-hit years.
But that hasn’t meant that it doesn’t still pack a punch.
And news, exclusively revealed in today’s Evening Post, that a star as high profile as Jools Holland is coming in 2014, can only further its reputation.
The Jazz Festival is an important commodity for the borough – reaching national and international parts that even our great sporting teams cannot reach. Long may it continue!
