KYM Marsh has gone all quiet now she has deleted her Twitter account after receiving angry comments from Waterloo Road fans.
The Ashton star, who plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, angered fans last week when she posted on her Twitter account that the BBC programme should not have won the Best Drama prize at last week’s National Television Awards.
She received huge amounts of abuse from followers and so deleted her account.
Friend and Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy explained on the social networking site that Marsh did not want to deal with the “stress” of the backlash.
He wrote on Twitter: “Guys, just spoke to Lady Marsh... All is fine. She just decided to delete her account due to the NTA fiasco and people being nasty to her.
“She is pregnant & her number one priority is her baby so it’s really not worth letting a handful of idiots cause her unnecessary stress.”
He later posted: “I will miss her Twitter banter.”
But fans can still keep up to date with her gossip as she writes a column for a national magazine.
