LANE closures will be in place from Monday as Marus Bridge roundabout works enter their “final stage”.
Road resurfacing works will mean different carriageways will be closed between 8pm to 5am from Monday to Thursday.

North bound works will take place on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 when Warrington Road (A49) north bound will be closed from the junction with Worthington Way to Clapgate Lane between 8pm and 5am.
During this stage, Highfield Grange Avenue will be closed from the junction with Darran Avenue to Warrington Road. Warrington Road south bound and Poolstock Lane will remain open.
South bound works will take place on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 when Warrington Road (A49) south bound will be closed from the junction of Clapgate Lane to Fulbeck Avenue.
Poolstock Lane will be closed from the junction with Marus Avenue to Warrington Road. Warrington Road north bound and Highfield Grange Avenue will remain open during this stage of the works.
Residents and commuters will benefit from much faster journey times into and out of Wigan town centre once the full scheme is complete, council bosses have said.
The entire interchange will be operational as a traffic light controlled junction from the week beginning 14th December.
Mark Tilley, Wigan Council’s assistant director for infrastructure and highways, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused as we understand it can be frustrating to be delayed.
“The improvement scheme is entering its final stages and is on schedule for completion in the week commencing December 14.”
