TWO teenagers have appeared in court charged with assaulting a pensioner.
Derran Johnson, 19, of Clement Street, Huddersfield and Thomas Pounder, 19, of Moorcroft Drive, Manchester, are charged with assaulting 67-year- old Michael Concah at Ashton Recreation Club on Saturday, March 19 this year.
Johnson plead not guilty to assault and affray, while Pounder offered no plea.
The case has been adjourned until July 12 for a committal hearing at Wigan Magistrates’ Court.
Both were bailed on the condition they do not go to Ashton Recreation Club or contact Mr Concah or John Sudworth. Pounder was also fined £50 for being late for the hearing.
