POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery at a store in Wigan.
At around 5.30pm on Thursday, April 12, a man burst into Pricesaver on Beech Hill Lane and threatened a female assistant with a knife.
The alarm was activated and the intruder fled empty-handed.
It is believed a woman accomplice held the door open during the incident.
Police were called and a man and woman have since been charged with attempt robbery but police are appealing for witnesses.
