THE Wigan branch of the RSPCA are looking to re-home a family of cats - by Royal approval!

The charity is currently experiencing an incredibly high influx of unwanted, mistreated or stray cats and is appealing for good homes for these special cats so that they can start their lives afresh and be given the chance of happiness and security at long last.

Branch manager Bill Stubbs said: “In honour of the Jubilee, we have quite a Royal collection of family-seeking felines.

“To begin with, Lizzie is a lovely young black and white mother cat; she is only a couple of years old.

“She came to us with three tiny kittens that all have homes lined up, except the tiniest little black male, James.

“Lizzie is such an easy going cat who just wants a warm lap to curl up on. She has been a fabulous mother and will make somebody a very special pet and companion.

“Philip is a playful, cheeky young chappie. He is a black and white male who just wants to be out and about and having fun! He is fed up with living in kennels when there are so many adventures to be had in the great outdoor world!

“Harry and Wills have been with us for the longest. Initially we were looking for a home for them both together but this is proving to be very difficult and they do not deserve to be sat around waiting and missing out on so much of their life.

“Sadly, we have therefore decided to let them go to homes individually. They are both rather large cats but fantastic characters and will be loyal companions.

“Kate has a sad story to tell. She has been passed from pillar to post and has had really a very difficult time of it. “Finally, through Wigan RSPCA, she found a perfect family who love her very much, but unfortunately she really does not get on with the resident cat and after months of trying to persevere, unfortunately we have to find her a new home.

“This special home needs to be Kate’s final home, we really wish Kate all the very best and hope that she can find a place to settle and call her own.

“Finally, Charles is a very handsome young male cat. He is actually stunning to look at and a joy to be around. A perfect family cat, and a great addition to any home.”
