AN APPEAL has been made for relatives of a late Wigan pensioner to come forward.
Peter Jolley died at the Arncliffe care home in Wigan last Friday at the age of 81.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, but the Coroner has enlisted police help because so far no-one has been able to find any next of kin and his carers have been unable to provide any background details on their former resident.
A spokeswoman for Wigan’s coroner’s police liaison office said: “We know very little about Mr Jolley other than he was born on September 20, 1929. We would be glad of any help in tracking any relatives down. Those with details should ring 0161 856 9196.”
