Road chaos after motorway smash
Friday evening rush hour traffic was brought to a near standstill after a motorway smash at Wigan
A dark green Land Rover careered out of control and flipped onto its roof on the southbound carriageway of the M6 between Orrell and Land Gate (junctions 26 and 25).
Firefighters and the police helicopter were among the emergency services in attendance.
The condition of casualties was not known.
