PARENTS are being warned to be extra vigilant after TWO separate reports of a man acting suspiciously near children.
Staff at Standish High School sent out the following message to parents on Thursday: “A suspicious van, with occupants watching children, was seen on Wednesday night in the vicinity of Ashfield Park.
“Please ask all children to be vigilant and to walk home with friends.”
Meanwhile, parents at St Mary’s and St John’s School, and Mab’s Cross, both in Standishgate, were issued warnings about a man in Swinley who was approaching children and asking for their address.
Anyone with information should call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
