AFTER a 30-0 win last week over rivals Wigan St Patrick’s, Shevington Sharks continued their winning run with an equally impressive 36-6 home win over table-topping Leigh East.

The win left Sharks three points behind Leigh, with two games in hand. Mike Norton opened the scoring, Steve Dunn tagging on, before Aussie signing Dale Roberts – brother of Wigan Warriors star Amos Roberts – ran in two tries.

Those touchdowns were also converted by Dunn.

Roy Rimmer was in sparkling form and ran in a hat-trick of tries, two of which he converted himself.

Sharks’ star man was captain Alan White, and the team are set to head to Blackpool this weekend.
