A GROUP of kind-hearted young people have been giving something back to the a community.
A team of 16-20 year-olds from Wigan, who have been involved in a self development programme ran through Groundwork and the Prince’s Trust, have worked together to build a pathway for residents at an Orrell day centre.
A team of young people set out to complete a project in which they gave something back to the community.
The group decided to help residents at Mayfield Day Centre, part of Wigan Council, a supported foundation which helps the residents with illnesses and disabilities.
The team helped to create a pathway which will prove to be a vital necessity for residents who are in need of wheelchair support, enabling them to access the garden and surrounding area of the centre.
On the final day of the project they were visited by Stripey, the Wigan Athletic mascot.
