AN annual charity event to remember a tragic Lowton teenager will take place this weekend.

It will be third edition of the Toby Hart Football Tournament which raises funds for Toby’s Gift and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Toby, who lived in Lowton and was a former pupil at the High School, was 16 when he fell from cliffs while on a family holiday in Cornwall.

As an organ donor, he saved multiple lives and his parents Sally and Graham set up the Toby’s Gift cause to raise awareness for organ donation.

The football tournament is taking place this Sunday, July 5 from 9.30am to 4pm when the coveted trophy will passed on to the winning team.

Dad Graham said: “It’s that time of year again, we can’t believe it’ll be three years.

“We hope it will be a fun-packed and fast-paced event running throughout the day.”

The event - held at Lowton High School on Newton Road - is being supported by the Leigh Referee Development Group. For more information or to make a donation, visit www.justgiving.com/graham-hart6 or www.justgiving.com/remember/35473/Toby%20Thomas-Hart.
