A 17-year-old girl was air lifted to hospital after crashing into a tree in Windy Arbour.
The girl had to be cut free from her Suzuki by firefighters from Hindley and Wigan stations before being air lifted to Whiston Hospital in Prescot.
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10.08am on Thursday, October 20 after reports a vehicle had collided with a tree on Ashton Road. The 17 year old female was cut free by firefighters.
“Although fully conscious she was complaining of pains in her spine and hips.
She was then taken to Whiston Hospital by air ambulance.”
