COMMUTERS are facing severe delays on the M6.
The delays began when a lorry broke down in an area of roadworks on the southbound carriageway at junction 20a at around 5am this morning.
No sooner had the lorry been moved to the hard shoulder, a collision forced the closure of two lanes in the same area.
Just as all lanes had reopened another incident forced two lanes to be closed between junction 20 Lymm and 21 Warrington.
All lanes have now been reopened but Highways England have warned that severe delays remain.
Traffic is backed up to junction 25, Bryn, with delays said to be around an hour and a half.
