A COUPLE have been arrested and their children taken into care after a three-year-old tot was found wandering Wigan’s streets early in the morning.
The little boy was discovered by a member of the public close to the police headquarters in Robin Park Road at 6.30am on Monday, and taken there.
A short time later a further report was received that a three-year-old boy was missing from his home address in the Worsley Hall area.
A police spokesman said that officers attended the address and were unhappy with the condition of the house.
A girl, aged one, and two boys, aged three and five were subsequently taken into the care of social services.
A man, aged 28, and a woman, aged 35, were arrested on suspicion of child neglect.
