A TEENAGER is still fighting for her life in hospital following a motorcycle collisiion which killed one man and seriously injured another.

The 19 year old woman remains in a critical condition following the three way smash on Sunday evening which saw the death of 18-year-old Ryan Smith from Golborne.

Police are still appealing for information following the collision, which happened at around 11.25pm on Sunday at the junction of Fourmarts Road and Hillridge Road.

A yellow Honda motorbike collided with a black Yamaha, which then collided with a third motorbike, a grey Yamaha, that was parked at the side of the road.

All three riders were thrown from their bikes and the 17-year-old boy who suffered leg and neck injuries has since been discharged from hospital.

Flowers, cards and messages have been left at the site of the crash at the junction of Fourmarts Road and Hillridge Road in memory of Ryan.

Sergeant Danny Byrne from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding this collision, and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed it or has any information to contact 0161 856 4742.”
