WIGAN Warriors brought the Challenge Cup home in style, parading it through the town centre.

Thousands turned out to see the squad show off the famous trophy as they travelled along Standishgate on an open top bus this afternoon.

They then received huge cheers as they made their way onto a stage and took part in a question and answer session.

Shaun Wane spoke of his sheer pride that he was able to bring the Challenge Cup back to Wigan, while Sean O’Loughlin thanked the crowd for their amazing support.

Yesterday, the Warriors players and staff were given a standing ovation and a huge round of applause at the DW Stadium as they brought out the trophy at half-time of the match between Latics and Middlesbrough. Dave Whelan and Ben Watson also showed off the FA Cup too and posed for photos with Pat Richards and Sam Tomkins.
