A YOUNG motorist has admitted accidentally killing her passenger in a road smash.

Ashley Brown admitted causing the death of 22-year-old Andrew McIntosh by driving a Ford Ka carelessly on Westleigh Lane, Leigh, while unfit through alcohol on October 5 last year.

Brown, also 22, of Douglas Road, Leigh, was warned by Judge Andrew Menary, QC at Liverpool Crown Court that all sentencing options will be open when she returns on November 13.

Granting her bail and ordering a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service Judge Menary said: “That must not be taken as any indication of the sentence.
