A woman arrested following the death of a Wigan 30-year-old has had her bail extended.
An investigation was launched after Lyndsey Vaux died with a number of unexplained injuries.
A 31-year-old was arrested last month on suspicion of assault and bailed until July 10. Bail has now been extended until September 6 handing detectives more time to investigate the events leading up to Ms Vaux’s death.
Speaking after a Home Office post-mortem examination revealed the unexplained injuries sustained by Platt Bridge resident Ms Vaux, Det Insp Martin Reddington of Wigan division said: “Our thoughts are with Lyndsey’s family and friends at what is an incredibly sad time for them.
“We are investigating and trying to get a full understanding of what happened to Lyndsey leading up to her death. I would urge anyone who may have information about how she came by her injuries to get in touch.”
