A MOTORIST was taken to hospital after her car crashed into the wall of a veterinary hospital.
Police officers were called just after 9am on this morning (Tuesday) to reports the vehicle - a Vauxhall Corsa - had become embedded in the wall at the vets on Caroline Street.
It is thought that the driver had been forced off the road by an articulated lorry and had gone into a uncontrollable spin.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “The driver of the lorry will be reported for driving without due care.
“The driver of the car received minor injuries and was taken to Wigan Infirmary as a precaution.”
