A WOMAN left fighting for her life after a suspected arson attack on her Wigan home is believed to be three months’ pregnant.

The 24-year-old was one of two people said to be in a critical condition today after devastating blaze tore through flats at Ince.

A 44-year-old man was also seriously injured in the incident on Redbrook Road on Sunday night.

Two men have been arrested, one on suspicion of causing arson with intent to endanger life and the other on suspicion of causing arson with intent to endanger life and causing grievous bodily harm.

A number of residents have told the Wigan Evening Post that the as-yet-unnamed female victim of the fire is expecting a child.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, which started on the upper floor flat of the end property on Redbrook Road shortly after 9pm.

Fire crews spent around two hours extinguishing the flames and evacuating the adjoining houses but managed to prevent it from spreading to the other properties.
