A PENSIONER was lucky to emerge without serious injury after her car flipped onto its roof in Wigan.
The 79-year-old had to be cut out of her vehicle by fire crews after the accident on Golborne Road, Ashton.
She was later taken to Wigan Infirmary by ambulance with suspected spinal injuries but was later discharged.
Two crews from Wigan fire station attended the scene just after 11am on Sunday.
Officers used specialist cutting equipment to free the motorist and she was immediately placed on a spinal board.
