THESE remarkable pictures were captured by a drone that was soaring above the runners during the Wigan 10k.
Adrian Farrimond flew his device over the streets during the race and posted a video online, which has already received thousands of views.
It shows the runners leaving the town centre, running past Mesnes Park and over the canal bridge on Scot Lane.
The 42-year-old bought the drone to use as a hobby but thought it would be a great day to capture some stunning footage.
“It worked out really well,” he said.
“I use the drone for fun really but thought it would be a great way to help Joining Jack and the organisers.
“It’s just a hobby of mine really but it got some brilliant shots. The weather helped as well.
“I got some really good still images as well.”
Adrian was able to move along the route with the impressive range on the device.
He added: “I started at the start line and followed along and ended up at the lights at Beech Hill.

“It’s the first time I have used it for a specific purpose so I’m glad it’s got such good footage.”
