AS somebody who travels extensively to the South via the WestCoast Mainline- the news about plans to bring his speed railway to Wigan earlier than planned is fantastic.
Great for manual labour jobs ie. building the actual lines themselves, and great for the North in terms of travel times being cut.
The thing that worries me though is the cost. Luckily if my employer decides to send me to London tomorrow, this will cost them £280 return.
It has just cost me less than £200 for 4 days in Tenerife! Somebody please explain how the train can be £80 dearer!
