TWO youths have admitted a vicious attack on an elderly bowling club secretary.
Thomas Pounder and Derran Johnson had been due to face trial accused of assault and affray but they changed their pleas to guilty.
The pair pleaded guilty to assaulting Michael Concah causing actual bodily harm in Ashton on March 19 this year and affray on the same date.
At an earlier hearing the court was told Johnson and Pounder, both 19, had been part of a group of about 15 youths at Ashton Recreation Club when Mr Concah was injured.
Judge Stephen Clarke further remanded Pounder, of Foley Walk, Moss Nook, Wythenshawe and Johnson, of Clement Street, Huddersfield on bail until January 4.
Conditions of their bail include keeping away from Mr Concah and other witnesses and from Ashton Recreation Club.
Pounder still denies common assault on Mr Concah three days earlier but this charge will be dropped.
