Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is expected to be out for three weeks after scans showed he has a partially torn ankle ligament suffered in the game against Hull City.
The Russia international was forced off during Spurs' defeat by Hull at the weekend and a closer inspection has shown the problem is likely to keep him out until the end of October.

"Roman will now undergo further treatment on the ankle after specialists declared him unfit to play for the next three weeks," said a Spurs statement.
