Everton are ready to make a £4million offer for Fulham#s ex=Wigan midfielder Jimmy Bullard after failing to land the England squad man in the summer.
Boss David Moyes wants to link £15m record signing Marquane Fellaini and the proven attacking skills of Tim Cahill with the free-flowing Bullard, renowned for having one of the biggest engines in the Premier League.

Bolton recently failed with a £3m for Bullard, who joined Fulham from Wigan for £2.5m two years ago.

The 29-year-old suffered a horrific cruciate ligament injury but returned late last lseason to perform better than ever.

A surprise call up for Fabio Capello's World Cup squad confirmed his late potential to make it at the highest level and Moyes sees him as the next step in his own re-building programme at Goodison Park, the News of the World says
