ALI Al Habsi hopes to stay in England as he weighs up his options.

He is a free agent after his Latics deal expired.

Scott Carson, who was preferred ahead of the 33-year-old for most of last season, secured a move to Derby last Friday.

Oman international Al Habsi says he is in no rush to secure his future.

“I would like to stay in England, I hope there is an option for us to do that,” he said. “But I will take my time, hopefully there will be more good times ahead.”

Manager Gary Caldwell moved to fill the void by signing keeper Richard O’Donnell from Walsall.

He is one of just three confirmed arrivals ahead of their League One campaign, along with former Blackpool midfielder David Perkins and ex-Rotherham defender Craig Morgan.
