ALI Al Habsi has waited the best part of two years to return to his former stomping ground and show Bolton first hand what they’re missing.
And the Wigan Athletic stopper has only one goal in mind – to come away with a clean sheet.
“It will be a great day for me personally – the first time I have gone back to Bolton as a Wigan player since I left,” Al Habsi told the Evening Post.
Despite Al Habsi’s heroics this term, he has recorded only one shut-out since August – the 0-0 draw with Liverpool in December.
The Oman No.1 saved a penalty from Charlie Adam that day, just as he denied Kevin Davies from the spot when Latics went down 3-1 at home to Bolton in October.
That encounter was the first time Al Habsi had faced his old club since joining Wigan in the summer of 2010, the terms of his initial loan deal preventing him playing in all four encounters last term.”
