GOALS from Andy Kellett and substitute Yanic Wildschut gave Wigan Athletic a comfortable 2-0 victory at struggling Barnsley.
Just a fortnight after the Tykes had knocked Latics off the Wembley trail in the JPT, Gary Caldwell’s men got some semblance of revenge to get back to winning ways.
Kellett, making his first league start for the club, opened the scoring on the 18-minute mark.
The ex-Bolton man took delivery of a lovely ball from Michael Jacobs, before stroking the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net.
And it was game over when Wildschut added number two with only four minutes remaining.
Just two minutes after coming on for Will Grigg, the on-loan Middlesbrough winger took advantage of a defensive mix-up to slide the ball home into an empty net from the edge of the area.
