FORMER Latics star Jimmy Bullard has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.
Bullard only recently joined League One outfit Milton Keynes late in August on a short-term deal after leaving Championship Ipswich Town.
He managed two games for MK Dons, but has opted to hang up his boots after making over 300 league appearances in his career.
The East Londoner spent arguably the most successful stage of his career at Wigan, for whom he made 145 appearances between 2003-06.
While with Latics, he helped the club reach the Premier League and the final of the Carling Cup, before he moved on to Fulham.
