WIGAN Athletic fans queued for hours at the DW Stadium to get hold of tickets for the FA Cup final between Latics and Man City on May 11.

The ticket office opened at 10am on Sunday for season ticket holders to purchase their tickets and their were long queues throughout the day - an excited mood enveloping the crowd.

The club has received an initial allocation of 21,000 and if they sell out, a further 4,000 tickets will be made available.

Tickets are limited to two per season ticket holder, and two per person if there is availability to go on general sale, which will be from Sunday, April 28.

General sale purchasers will need to have a previous purchasing history at the DW Stadium.

The ticket prices have been split into four categories: £45, £65, £85 and £115.

There is a £10 reduction for under-16s and over-65s.

Ambulant tickets are £30 including a carer for the first 50 pairs and then £10 discount off the appropriate prices thereafter.

Tickets are available in person, by telephone on 0871 6633552 (except Sunday, April 21) or online at wiganathletic.com

Supporters will once again be able to purchase coach tickets at the same time as buying their tickets with exact prices to be confirmed.
